Known dates: Joined Rookwood Pottery in 1887. Studied in France & Italy at Rookwood’s expense between 1893 -1896.
Left Rookwood Pottery in 1899, due to illness and set up his own pottery in Colorado Springs.
He died in 1904, although his pottery, The Van Briggle Art Pottery, under many guises continues through to today.
