Lid on the featured stein is not pewter but probably aluminium, and shows an industrial high voltage ceramic insulator. 
0.3 Litre stein "V.O.E. Cologne 1909" "17th Year of the collection", indicating the 17th anniversary of the the start of production of ceramics at the Keramikerstraße site. The image appears to show an electric light illuminating the city of Cologne. 
The capacity mark is on the other side of the handle to normal, i.e. the right side.
