Known dates: Factory founded in 1853. Nationalised in 1948. It became a public company, Zsolnay Porcelain Manufacture in 1991.

Vilmos Zsolnay: 1828 - 1900. Preceded by his father Miklós, 1800 - 1880  Succeeded by his son Miklós, until 1921.

Zsolnay marked their products with mold numbers. The mold numbers were consecutive, and can be dated roughly in the following table:
