Born 1879. He lived at Kirchstraße 32 in 1912. He studied sculpture at the Fachhochschule for ceramics in Höhr under Ernst Barlach and Ernst Dümler.
In 1897, at the age of 18, he was appointed designer & sculptor for Albert Jacob Thewalt , the post which he held until 1914. (He was responsible for designs #1 - #816.)
He died in his studio in 1951.
