Stein and line transfer by Porzellanfabrik Utzschneider & Cie - Sarreguemines, decorated and pewter supplied by Gebrüder Goldschmidt of Nuremberg. The cavalier, seated, is extremely similar to the Christian Warth design on Villeroy & Boch - Mettlach's #1527 and #1796, indicating some sort of commercial arrangement between the Mettlach and Saarguemines factories.

Written signature and date on the base of the featured Porzellanfabrik Utzschneider & Cie - Sarreguemines. This J.G. is so similar to the J.G. of Jakob Goldschmidt, that it is the opinion of the author, that they are one and the same.

Unusual "double strike" Jakob Goldschmidt over Simon Peter Gerz 1, dated 1906 or before. The Gerz mark was applied then the Goldschmidt mark was applied over the top when the mistake was realised. "Grès Nassovia" means Stoneware of Nassau.
