Addendum: Albert Jacob Thewalt stein production finally ceased on 31st October 2009. In January 2011, the right to manufacture, using certain selected Thewalt moulds, was purchased by King-Werk. These steins are being produced, using the traditional methods and materials in limited editions of 2500 and are marked "Thewalt 1893" & "Made in Germany". The product range will be revised and refreshed each year.

Makers mark, shows that this stein, made in 2007, is a reproduction of a Marzi & Remy stein designed in 1895 by Gustav Thinwiebel.

Makers mark shows that the featured stein, made in 2007, is a reproduction of a Marzi & Remy piece, designed in 1895 by Gustav Thinwiebel. The blue ink stamp has "Made in Germany" which was used after 1990.

This limited edition porcelain stein was made by Albert Stahl with a mould design, coprighted by King-Werk. The main mark is underglaze, but the blue stick-on label indicates that this particular piece was distributed by King-Werk.
